NEW APPOINTMENTS IN THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF KAKAMEGA

Kakamega County Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has made the following appointments in his government;

Mr. Geoffrey Nafukho Omulayi will join the Cabinet as Minister of Treasury. Mr. Nafukho who hails from Matungu Sub-County is the Deputy Director Finance and Administration at the Kenya School of Government.

Mrs. Frandina Khavere Machwenu warms up to the office of Chief Officer of Livestock, Veterinary Services and Fisheries Department. Mrs. Machwenu is the current Deputy County Director of Livestock Production and The County Dairy Development Officer. Mrs. Machwenu comes from Lugari Sub-County.

The Department of Special Projects in the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Public Works and Energy will have a new Chief Officer Eng. Phillip Otenyo Makonjio. Mr. Otenyo, who is the Head of County Mechanical and Transport Fund Unit hails from Khwisero Sub-County.

Speaking from New Delhi India, on an official trip, after effecting the appointments yesterday evening, Kakamega County Governor, H.E Hon Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya said all the appointees have the experience and academic qualifications to deliver in their new positions if cleared by the County Assembly.
