H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa concluded his agriculture day in Ikolomani and Shinyalu Sub-Counties by inspecting farms and empowering farmers at Lirhanda grounds in Shinyalu, where he distributed more tea seedlings as part of his initiative to ensure Food Security and Economic Empowerment across the “Green Jewel.”
Governor Barasa’s strategic plan for the farmers of Kakamega County include, completion of Madala Tea Factory, enhancing commercial fish farming, improving livestock production, sugarcane development, maize farming, horticulture, apiculture, among others.
The Governor also affirmed his commitment towards the completion and operationalization of Shiamakhubu level 4 hospital and construction of a Gold mining industry in Shinyalu and Ikolomani Sub-Counties respectively.
MCAs and various speakers present at the event voiced their support for Governor Barasa’s leadership, emphatically endorsing his transformative agenda for Kakamega County.
