The County Chaplaincy led by Rev. Ken Baraza and Sheikh Idris Mohammed today paid a courtesy call on H.E Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa in his County office.
Their reflections with the Governor touched on the Chaplaincy’s achievements, challenges and how to deepen their engagement with the Executive for the smooth running of the Administration.
In his remarks, Governor Barasa appreciated the Chaplaincy’s dedication to their mandate and he encouraged them to use their platforms to objectively enlighten the public on the milestones reached by his administration. He said it’s important for the Chaplaincy to stand against misinformation which plants cynicism in the population. He pledged to support an arrangement for a Pentecostal church service on a future date.
The delegation included representatives of the 12 sub counties and Matete.
The Chaplaincy has been instrumental in resolving conflicts among County staff, providing guidance and counseling, and offering civic education on various public interest issues.
