𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐊𝐏𝐋𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐟𝐃𝐁 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa today hosted a delegation from Kenya Power and the African Development Bank at the County Headquarters.

The team was led by Mr. George Tarus, Manager of Last Mile Connectivity Projects at KPLC, and Mr. Baba Fatajo, Chief Regional Power Systems Officer at AfDB.

The high-level visit was part of a stakeholder engagement exercise during the preparation of the project closure report for the Last Mile Connectivity Project Phase 1. The delegation is assessing the impact of the project by visiting beneficiaries across Kakamega County.

The Governor lauded the partnership and reiterated his commitment to enhancing access to reliable power as a key enabler of economic growth, job creation, and improved livelihoods for the people of Kakamega County.
