H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa this evening witnessed finals of the Governor’s Cup for Etenje Ward. He was accompanied by the 2022 Azimio senatorial aspirant Dr. Brian Lishenga, and officials from the Ministry of Sports led by CECM Morphat Mandela.

In the thriller, Buchifi FC beat Imanga Youngsters 1-0. Bumia FC came third after edging out Imanga Youths 4-3 in penalties.

Governor Barasa congratulated the winners and wished them well as the tournament progresses.

Earlier in the day, the Governor joined mourners for the burial of Mama Agneta Khalanga in Eshibina village, Musanda Ward, Mumias West Sub-County. He acknowledged the late’s significant impact in the society and expressed deep sorrow on her passing.

MCAs led by the area representative Hon. Joseph Omusinde and Majority Leader Hon. Philip Maina, Senior County officials led by Roads CECM Arch. Patrick Kundu, among other local leaders attended the funeral.
