This evening, H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa engaged representatives of the Matatu, Juakali, and Market sectors of Kakamega town at the County Chambers, in an open dialogue on best strategies towards enhancement of the County’s own source revenue.

The teams pledged to collaborate with Government Officials in the collection of the revenue to support various development projects being undertaken by the County.

Governor Barasa, committed to utilize the raised revenue for the greater good, by directing the funds towards ongoing development projects across the County, including; realization of the water pillar alias “Amatsi Khumuliango,” the 10KM per Ward road projects, enhanced Subsidized Fertilizer, Maize Seeds, Pesticides and Fish Feeds, as well as Bursaries and Scholarships to learners, among others.

Also present at the meeting were CECM Finance CPA Livingston Imbayi, CS & HPS Dr Lawrence Omuhaka, COS Mr Kassim Were, CO Ms. Faith Gitira, Advisors Hon. Kititi Mwasame and Mr. Echesa Busalire, CRA Mr. Christopher Ombunya and Municipality Manager CS. Dan Musita.
