𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐀’𝐒 𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐄𝐂𝐃𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃
H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa has this morning launched a Model ECDE Centre at Bulimbo Primary School, Kholera Ward, Matungu Sub-county. The centre was constructed through a partnership between the County Government and LAPFUND.
The Model ECDE is an addition to 60 ECDE centers that the County government is building this financial year. To create a conducive learning environment, Governor Barasa’s administration has allocated Ksh. 18 million for furniture and Ksh. 60 million for capitation.
The County has also invested significantly in technical and vocational training. To date, 38 twin workshops have been constructed at a cost of Ksh. 140.6 million, and 19 classrooms at a cost of Ksh. 117.5 million.
In attendance were MCAs led by the area representative Hon. Karim Tingili, County officials led by Education CECM Dr. Boniface Okoth, and LAPFUND General Manager of Member Services, Ms. Veronica Owende.
