A meeting bringing together dairy stakeholders and a delegation from the State Department of Livestock was held to discuss the next steps for the distribution of milk coolers and related equipment to farmer producer organizations and dairy cooperatives.

Participating in the session was the Livestock Chief Officer, Ms. Jessica Weku, as the discussions also focused on developing strategies to enhance county milk production and promote value addition, with special emphasis on the forthcoming Malava Milk Processing Plant. This initiative aligns with Governor Barasa’s agenda on food security and wealth creation.

The delegation was led by Mr. John Oyato, while present included officials from various dairy cooperatives, Livestock Director Mr. Henry Odanga, representatives from the County Commissioner’s office, and the Dairy Anchor for Kakamega
