H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa visited Mzee Stephen Shiundu Olunga, whom he had recently taken to the Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment, to check on his progress. The Governor expressed his gratitude to the medical team for their devoted care and wished Mzee Olunga a speedy recovery.

During the visit, Governor Barasa also introduced the new Medical Superintendent of the facility, Dr. Christian Lamba, who succeeds Dr. Barbara Murila.
