𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa joined the faithful at the Holy Spirit Bulimbo Catholic Church in Matungu Sub-county for a solemn Easter Sunday service.

In his address, Governor Barasa urged Christian faithful to reflect on the true meaning of Easter — a season of hope, renewal, and compassion. “As we celebrate Easter, may we be inspired to uplift one another, act with compassion, and build communities rooted in unity and purpose,” he said. He called on the faithful to embrace values that promote peace, love, and shared prosperity, adding that unity among citizens is key to transforming lives at the grassroots.

The Governor also highlighted key milestones in his administration’s development agenda. He informed residents that all Level 2 and 3 health facilities across Kakamega County received a Ksh. 50 million consignment of drugs and non-pharmaceuticals last week — a boost to the ongoing efforts to enhance access to quality healthcare. He further announced that the construction of the Khalaba Bridge is set to resume this year, a move expected to improve mobility and open up economic opportunities in the region.

Also present at the service were First Lady Prof. Janet Kassilly Barasa, MCAs led by Majority Leader CPA Philip Maina, host MCA Hon. Osama Tingli, Hon. Bonface Osanga of Khalaba, and members of the County Executive.
