Today, H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa joined the ODM fraternity in Mombasa to celebrate 20 years of service and resilience. The event brought together party leadership, members, and supporters from across the country.
In his address, Governor Barasa reminded members that the late Raila Odinga left ODM firmly within the broad-based government, and urged the party to remain true to the directive.
“Baba may be gone, but his vision remains. He left us in broad-based government, and we will not betray him. United, we will make ODM stronger than ever,” he said.
Governor Barasa also called for continued unity and teamwork as ODM prepares for the 2027 General Elections, noting that solidarity will be key to strengthening the party across the country. He affirmed that Kakamega County is in ODM to stay.
The anniversary event highlighted both ODM’s long journey. The King is gone, long live the crown.
