His Excellency Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa today called for swift justice for the late Hon. Stephen Maloba, the former MCA for Kisa East Ward, who was brutally murdered two years ago.
โ€œThe people of Kisa East deserve justice and representation. Itโ€™s been two years since the murder of their MCA, yet justice remains elusive. I urge authorities to act and bring closure to his family and the people he served,โ€ said Governor Barasa.
The Governor made the remarks while addressing congregants during a Sunday service at Mundaha Church of God in Kisa East, Khwisero Constituency.
He also announced plans to revive the long-stalled Misango Hills Water Project, which began in 2015, to enhance last-mile water connectivity in the sub-county.
As Chair of Finance at the Council of Governors, Governor Barasa expressed concern over the reduced county allocation of Sh405 billionโ€”down from the proposed Sh536 billionโ€”warning that the shortfall will hamper service delivery across all 47 counties.
He was accompanied by MCAs led by Hon. James Etabale (Kisa North), former Majority Leader Hon. Joel Ongoro, and CECM for Finance and ICT Mr. Benjamin Andama, among other officials.
