𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞

The Isasala Bridge will be constructed following an inspection exercise by H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa this afternoon. The bridge, located along the Eshisiru–Navakholo Road, connects Lurambi and Navakholo constituencies and has been rendered dangerous by the recent heavy rains that have eroded parts of the riverbanks.

Although the bridge falls under the mandate of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), Governor Barasa announced that the County Government of Kakamega will intervene and reconstruct it as an emergency measure. He stressed that “safety cannot wait” and committed to safeguarding the lives of residents by ensuring reliable transport across the county.

Governor Barasa was accompanied by MCAs led by Hon. Sebastian Mang’eni and County Executive Members led by the CECM for Roads, Architect Patrick Kundu.
