H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa hosted the President, H.E. Dr. William Ruto at Chekalini Ward, Lugari Sub-County, for the launch of the Chekalini Economic Stimulus Program (ESP) Market.

Through the spirit of committed collaboration between the two levels of Government on the development agenda, Kakamega County is poised for economic growth.

To complement today’s launch, Governor Barasa will be laying foundation stones for new markets in Masingo, Musamba, Furfarol, Malaha, Isongo, Kambiri, and Panpaper.

Following these, he will also undertake the renovation of Kambi ya Mwanza and Buhuru markets, as the County accomplishes the Matunda, Butere and Malava Municipalities milestone.

Area MP Hon. Nabii Nabwera led MCAs and other area leaders in gracing the event.
