COUNTY EXECUTIVES TAKE UP NEW ROLES IN SERVICE DELIVERY DRIVE

Kakamega County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka today presided over the handover ceremony of county executive officers following the reorganization effected by H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa with an aim of enhancing service delivery.

Mr. Godfrey Owori is the new CECM for Lands, Housing, Urban Areas and Physical Planning taking over from Ms. Angela Silima who has assumed a similar position at the Ministry of Trade, Industrialization and Tourism.

Mr. Lawrence Omukoyani moves to the Department of Tourism while his counterpart Mr. Saxon Kweyu takes over the Department of Youth, Sports and Library Services where he will oversee matters relating to youth programmes, sports development and library services.

Dr. Omuhaka asked the officers to consult each other terming transfers a normal government procedure to ensure continuity of assignments and effective service delivery. He further encouraged the officers to embrace teamwork and support one another as they settle into their respective new dockets.
