County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP 2023) meeting

This morning, H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa held a County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP 2023) meeting with CECMs, Chief Officers, CEOs of County Agencies, Advisors and County Budget and Economic Forum Members. Given the ongoing challenge of delayed fund disbursements from the National Treasury, it is crucial that County Governments harness their Own Source Revenue as a financial lifeline.

In the context of Kakamega County, Governor Barasa said he has placed significant emphasis on the implementation of various austerity measures and the maximization of all available revenue sources. The goal is to progressively move from this year’s KSh. 2 billion target towards the county’s evaluated revenue potential, as assessed by CRA and COG, which stands at KSh. 5.8 billion.
