GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF WARD-BASED BURSARIES
Today, H.E. FCPA Dr. Fernandes Barasa announced that Ward-Based Bursaries will be released in the month of March to successful applicants from Grade 10 to Form 4. This support will ease the financial burden on low-income families across Kakamega County.
Speaking during the funeral of Mama Felista Amoyi Angwenyi in Eshirotsa, Kisa West Ward, Khwisero Sub-County, the Governor said deserving learners from all the 60 wards of Kakamega county will benefit.
He also updated residents on the ongoing Misango Water Project, noting that once complete, it will improve access to clean and reliable water in Khwisero and surrounding areas.
On security, the Governor condemned the killing of a police officer at Nyalenya Police Post in Etenje, Mumias West Sub-County, and urged security agencies to act swiftly and bring those responsible to justice.
He was accompanied by Members of the County Assembly led by Majority Leader Hon. CPA Philip Maina, County Executives led by Finance and ICT CECM Benjamin Andama, and other leaders.
