GOVERNOR BARASA ASSURES COMPLETION OF KEY PROJECTS IN BUTERE
H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, has assured residents of Butere Sub-County and Kakamega County that his administration will complete all pending projects inherited from the previous government. He noted that the fully completed Butere Level 4 Hospital is already operational and serving residents, while construction of Bukhungu Stadium and the Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital (Level 6) is progressing well.
The Governor said construction of Shiatsala Market will begin soon, while the Firatsi Water Project is nearing completion. He also highlighted the operational Hatchery Project in Marama Central, which is supporting local farmers.
Speaking during the funeral service of the late Mama Martha Namayi in Emauko Village, Marama South Ward, Governor Barasa acknowledged the cordial working relationship with the area MP, Hon. Tindi Mwale, assuring the establishment of Butere Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) campus.
The Governor further announced that bursaries for Grade 10 learners across the county will be issued starting next week and urged support for the broad-based government to advance national development.
He was accompanied by Hon. Tindi Mwale, MCAs led by Majority Leader Hon. Philip Maina, and other county officials.
