Governor Barasa Condoles with Family of Late Mama Susana Otsieno (Mama Salon)
H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa today joined the family, friends, and residents of Likuyani Sub-county in paying his last respects to the late Mama Susana Khakasa Nanzala Otsieno, alias “Mama Salon,” during her burial ceremony held in Sinoko Village.
The late Mama Nanzala, mother to USA-based nurse Ms. Jackline Otsieno, will be remembered for her dedication to her family and selfless service to the church and community.
Addressing mourners, Governor Barasa took the opportunity to update residents on ongoing development projects in Likuyani. He affirmed that the EshikuluโMatunda Water Project, now nearing completion, will enhance access to clean and safe water in the area under the clarion callโWater at the Doorstep. He further announced the completion of the Sango Smart Farm Project, which is now ready for official commissioning and will play a key role in transforming agricultural productivity and food security in the region.
In his capacity as Chairperson of the Council of Governorsโ Finance and Economic Planning Committee, Governor Barasa reassured residents that the construction of the Kakamega County Aggregation and Industrial Park will resume soon.
The Governor was accompanied by Likuyani MP Hon. Innocent Mugabe, MCAs led by host Hon. Anthony Mixx, and members of the County Executive Committee led by CECM for Trade and Industrialization, Mr. Godfrey Owour.
