GOVERNOR BARASA HOLDS BREAKFAST MEETING WITH ROTARY AND MMUST AHEAD OF NYAPORA HEALTH CENTRE COMMISSIONING
H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa this morning hosted partners from the Rotary Club, led by Dr. Kim Baxstar, and a delegation from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Solomon Shibairo, for a breakfast meeting at Golf Hotel, Kakamega, ahead of a Free Medical Camp and the official commissioning of the new Nyapora Health Centre in Mumias West Sub-County.
The breakfast meeting focused on strengthening partnerships between the County Government of Kakamega, the Rotary Club, and MMUST in support of improved healthcare services, particularly eye health. Governor Barasa said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to community welfare, preventive healthcare, and expanding access to quality medical services for residents.
He thanked the partners for their continued support, noting that the partnership will enhance service delivery and contribute to better health outcomes across the county.
The meeting was also attended by county health leadership led by CECM for Health Services Dr. Livingston Imbayi, alongside other stakeholders.
