GOVERNOR BARASA UNVEILS KEY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES IN KISA NORTH WARD

H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, this afternoon announced major development initiatives in Kisa North Ward, Khwisero Sub-County, aimed at improving infrastructure and access to essential services for residents.
Speaking at the funeral of the late Mama Agnes Akhapwoya Amenya in Emwiru area, the Governor unveiled plans for construction of a KSh 10 million bridge in Emuruba, which is set to begin in the next financial year.
He also confirmed plans to tarmac the Emako–Munjiti Road, aimed at improving transport links within the ward. In addition, he highlighted progress on the Amatsi Khumuliango water connectivity project, sourced from the Misango Hills Water Catchment Area, which will provide reliable water to households in the area.
On political front, Governor Barasa noted that the ODM party, in actualization of the vision of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, should play a key role in forming the 2027 government. He also emphasized ongoing collaboration between ODM and UDA parties under a broad-based government as a milestone for national unity and development. He urged residents to support President William Ruto, citing the progress achieved through joint efforts by the two governments.
The Governor described Mama Agnes Akhapwoya Amenya as a dedicated community leader whose life positively impacted many. He was accompanied by the area MCA, Hon. James Etabale, members of the County Executives led by CECM for Finance Mr. Benjamin Andama, and other local leaders.
