Governors Push for Ksh. 536.88B Minimum Allocation in FY 2025/2026

The Council of Governors, led by the Chair, Finance Committee, FCPA Fernandes Barasa, and Whip, H.E. Stephen Sang, today appeared before the Budget and Appropriations Committee of the National Assembly to discuss the Division of Revenue Bill 2025.

In their submission, the Council proposed a minimum allocation of Ksh. 536.88 billion for the next Financial Year. This recommendation factors in ordinary revenue growth, attendant resources for newly delineated and gazetted functions, among other considerations.

The push for equitable funding remains key in ensuring effective service delivery and strengthened devolution.
