KAKAMEGA COUNTY REVENUE ENHANCEMENT ACTION PLAN ENDORSED

County Secretary Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka, along with Kakamega County Revenue Agency’s CEO Mr. Chris Ombunya, represented Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa at the endorsement of the Kakamega County Revenue Enhancement Action Plan (REAP) in Nairobi.

Hosted by the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and the World Bank, the event provided Kakamega and four other counties with recommendations to improve revenue administration. They include strengthening policies and legislation, updating valuation rolls, and enforcing county revenue laws to maximize potential revenue streams.

Dr. Omuhaka affirmed Kakamega Countyโ€™s commitment to achieving its KSh 2.2 billion revenue target this financial year through robust accountability systems.

The event was presided by CRA Chairperson CPA Mary Chebukati, CRA Commissioners, among them Hon. Hadijja Nganyi. In attendance were West Pokot Governor H.E Simon Kachapin, Taita Taveta Governor H.E Andrew Mwadime, and other county representatives.
