US ENVOY HOSTS KAKAMEGA FIRST LADY

Kakamega First Lady H.E Prof Janet Kassily Barasa held a meeting with the US Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Margaret Whitman, a forum where Investment opportunities for continued partnership and collaboration between the Office of the First Lady and the US Embassy were discussed.

The discussions majorly centered around teen mothers campaign, triple threat, cancer, women empowerement, climate change and Investment attraction to Kakamega.

The upcoming Kakamega International Investment Conference that is scheduled to take place in Feb 2024, has received great support from the US Ambassador who has agreed to participate and take lead in attracting investors in areas around Agriculture, Health and Climate Action.

The Ambassador looks forward to working with the First Lady on her campaign and also with the County through the Investment Corporation to attract investors for Dairy, Kakamega Forest Conservation and support to address challenges

The First Lady was accompanied with KCIDA CEO Ms Elizabeth Asichi.
