𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐔𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐈 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓, 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐋.

The County Government of Kakamega is focused on ensuring timely and quality completion of the Likuyani KSh 0.5 billion value addition and processing plant of agricultural based products.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor – H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa – while on an inspection exercise of the project, the Chief Officer for Industrialization and Tourism Mr Saxon Kweyu said the project is focused on minimizing wastage and offering storage, processing and packaging of farm outputs like maize, vegetables and fruits.

The project which is estimated to be completed this year by December will give direct employment to 1500 residents in addition to the 257 site employees.

The inspection team included Chief Officers; Mr Patrick Butichi (Special Projects OG), CPA Samson Otieno (Budgeting), CPA Msafiri Kulova (Lands, Survey and Physical Planning) and Directors Stephen Chune of Physical Planning and Antony Munanga (Environment), Office Administrators OG & PSCA and the Area Administration.
