This evening, H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa, accompanied by his deputy Hon. Ayub Savula, MCAs and other county officials engaged with, and heard the concerns of businessmen in Kakamega Town.

In his address, Governor Barasa thanked Boda boda, taxi and tuk-tuk operators, as well as landlords and traders of Equity place, Superloaf, Kambi Somali market, Maziwa Road mechanics, Masingo market, Kakamega Buspark and Kakamega main market for sharing their opinions with them, adding that their feedback will enhance service delivery to the residents.

Walking across town, the Governor expressed his delight with the positive impact of Kakamega County’s subsidized microfinance loans extended to traders.

This Financial Year, the County Government of Kakamega has allocated Ksh.115 million to support various groups across the County.

“The Ksh.20 million Ward Projects Fund will equally address infrastructure needs, including projects like Bodaboda sheds, the water lastmile connectivity, street lighting, among others,” he noted.
