The people of Butere have built a well-deserved reputation around their strong work ethic, particularly in Kakamega’s agricultural sector.
H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa engaged with them today at Butere Girls grounds during a public participation forum.
The Governor presented his strategic vision for the Sub-county, which aligns with their needs. This includes initiatives such as providing subsidized fertilizer and seeds, the “Amatsi Khumuliango” projects and the imminent revival of Mumias Sugar Company to support sugarcane farmers in the area, among others.
The event was graced by the Deputy Governor Hon. Ayub Savula, area MP Hon. Tindi Mwale, Roots Party Leader Prof. George Wajackoyah, MCAs led by the Speaker Rt. Hon. James Namatsi and the Majority Leader Hon. CPA Philip Maina, members of the Executive led by the Public Service and Administration CECM Mr. Godfrey Owori and the County Secretary Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka.
