𝑳𝑰𝑲𝑼𝒀𝑨𝑵𝑰 𝑪𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑻𝒀 𝑨𝑮𝑮𝑹𝑬𝑮𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑰𝑵𝑫𝑼𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑰𝑨𝑳 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑲, 𝑨 𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑺𝑻 𝑻𝑶 𝑲𝑨𝑲𝑨𝑴𝑬𝑮𝑨’𝑺 𝑬𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑶𝑴𝒀, 𝑮𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑵𝑶𝑹 𝑩𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑺𝑨 𝑫𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑳𝑶𝑺𝑬𝑺

In memory of Retired Senior Chief Mzee Peter Muchende Likwiro of Soy location, we honour a life marked by dedication to service, visionary leadership, and mentorship to both the young and old. The late adeptly navigated challenges, promoting unity and ceaselessly working towards the progress of those he served.

H.E FCPA Fernandes hosted his colleague Governor of Uasin Gishu County, H.E. Jonathan Bii, and ODM Deputy Party Leader Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya in a solemn ceremony of laying to rest Mzee Likwiro at his home in Kongoni village, Kongoni Ward, Likuyani Sub-County.

Governor Barasa highlighted the benefits of the KSh500 Million Likuyani County Aggregation and Industrial Park project, slated for completion in December this year, noting that the park promises to transform the economic landscape of the Sub-County. He added that, once complete, the project is expected to generate 1,500 direct jobs for the local residents while simultaneously enhancing the agricultural potential of the region and enhancing the digital skills of the youth.

Also present were the Area legislator Hon. Innocent Mugabe, Kakamega Woman Representative Hon. Elsie Muhanda, MCAs led by the area representative Hon. Robert Makhanu, County Executive led by the Chief of Staff Mr. Kassim Were, Officials from both levels of government, among other mourners.
