Kakamega County has provided ward agricultural officers with WiFi-enabled digital devices to enhance the efficiency of last-mile distribution of subsidized fertilizer, set to begin next week.

Agriculture CECM Mophat Mandela urged officers to follow guidelines, maintain integrity, and ensure proper record-keeping and pricing.

The county has partnered with NCPB to supply quality inputs, supporting Governor Barasaโ€™s drive to modernize agriculture and make inputs more accessible to farmers at the grassroots level.

Officers also signed a deed of adherence, reinforcing accountability. Agriculture Chief Officer, Mr Emmanuel Kariuki was also present.
