Kakamega County has provided ward agricultural officers with WiFi-enabled digital devices to enhance the efficiency of last-mile distribution of subsidized fertilizer, set to begin next week.

Agriculture CECM Mophat Mandela urged officers to follow guidelines, maintain integrity, and ensure proper record-keeping and pricing.

The county has partnered with NCPB to supply quality inputs, supporting Governor Barasa’s drive to modernize agriculture and make inputs more accessible to farmers at the grassroots level.

Officers also signed a deed of adherence, reinforcing accountability. Agriculture Chief Officer, Mr Emmanuel Kariuki was also present.
