𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐀 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐒 𝐊𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐓𝐎𝐏-𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

This morning, H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa, alias Mkulima 037, joined fellow farmers from Kakamega County in Musoli, Ikolomani Sub-County, for a County’s maize crop subsidized top-dressing fertilizer demonstration exercise.

Addressing the farmers, the Governor reiterated the importance of applying the top-dressing fertilizer warning against the effects of ongoing heavy rainfall that may cause the nutrients present in the planting fertilizer to leach.

Governor Barasa however acknowledged the effectiveness of the County’s planting fertilizer as seen in the performance of the maize crops.

The County Government of Kakamega is offering both planting and top-dressing fertilizer at subsidized rates, across the 60 Wards, with the latter going at only Ksh. 1350 per 25Kg bag.

Present were County and National Government Officials led by CECM Godfrey Owori.
