H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa this evening inspected Mahola Polytechnic in East Wanga Ward, Mumias East Sub-County, one of the newly built training institutions under his administration.
Speaking to residents during the visit, Governor Barasa said polytechnics are critical in empowering young people with practical skills that lead to job creation, income generation, and self-reliance.
He emphasized that his government is committed to providing a dignified and conducive learning environment across the county. Through the expansion of access to vocational training, the county government aims to ensure more youth gain the skills needed to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the regionโ€™s social and economic growth.
Also present were the Chairman of Utalii, Hon. David Wamatsi; MCAs led by the host MCA, Hon. Francis Washika; County Executive Committee Members; and other senior government officials.
