Launched by Livestock Chief Officer Ms. Jessica Wesonga at KARLO Kakamega, the initiative aligns with Governor Barasaβs food security and wealth creation agenda.
Each beneficiary received 20 chicks and 20 kg of feed. Distribution in the southern region was led by Deputy Director Mwangi Anthony, covering households in Butere and Khwisero. In the central and northern regions, Coordinator Frandina Machwenu facilitated the process in Lugari and Shinyalu.
The project aims to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods through poultry farming.
Also present in the Launch was Livestock Director, Mr Henry Odanga and other county officials.
