This afternoon, H.E Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa has inspected the ongoing construction works at Nyapora Health Center in Mumias West, a health facility that stalled in 2005 and was closed in 2014. After more than a decade, the project is finally being completed to serve the community once again.
Once reopened, Nyapora will offer key services like maternity care, eye treatment, check-ups, among others, helping reduce the pressure on Mumias Level IV Hospital by bringing healthcare closer to the people.
The center will also provide practical training for students from MMUST, giving them hands-on experience in nursing, medicine, and laboratory. This project, supported by Rotary, is part of Governor Barasaโ€™s larger plan to ensure quality, affordable healthcare reaches every corner of Kakamega County.
