𝐍𝐲𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟏𝟏 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲.

This afternoon, H.E Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa has inspected the ongoing construction works at Nyapora Health Center in Mumias West, a health facility that stalled in 2005 and was closed in 2014. After more than a decade, the project is finally being completed to serve the community once again.

Once reopened, Nyapora will offer key services like maternity care, eye treatment, check-ups, among others, helping reduce the pressure on Mumias Level IV Hospital by bringing healthcare closer to the people.

The center will also provide practical training for students from MMUST, giving them hands-on experience in nursing, medicine, and laboratory. This project, supported by Rotary, is part of Governor Barasa’s larger plan to ensure quality, affordable healthcare reaches every corner of Kakamega County.
