𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐀 𝐓𝐄𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄

The CECM for Trade, Industrialization and Tourism Ms Rachel Atamba on Thursday th toured the earmarked site for construction of Madala Tea Factory in Isukha Central Ward, Shinyalu Sub-County in a bid to assess the infrastructural needs of the project.

The CECM revealed that the County Government of Kakamega is in talks with the Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA) towards establishment of the Plant, citing the need for sufficient water supply to facilitate a seamless process.

Once operational, the project guarantees market for tea farmers and employment among the residents as outlined in Governor Fernandes Barasa’s wealth creation agenda. The governor is committed to commission the project in the financial year 2023/2024
