KAKAMEGA EXECUTIVES INDUCTED INTO PUBLIC SERVICE

Senior County Officers on Friday completed a five day induction exercise organized to impart knowledge and skills in them after being sworn in as County Executive Committee Members, County Secretary and Chief Officers.

County boss H.E FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa who opened the training last Tuesday said it presented the Officers with a clear understanding of the aspirations of residents as spelt out in his Manifesto, the National Government’s manifesto, Kenya’s Vision 2030 and Kenya’s Agenda 2063.

“We have to set our standards of performance and put in place new strategies that will steer our County to greater development heights,” Governor Barasa advised.

Experts from the Kenya School of Government took the Officers through their roles as stipulated in the Kenyan Constitution 2010 and the County Governments’ Act, 2012. They were also trained on Government Communications Management, Public Policy formulation and implementation and County Planning.
