COUNTY TO COLLABORATE WITH NATIONAL GOVERNMENT TO ENHANCE DEVELOPMENT

Kakamega Deputy Governor H.E. Hon Ayub Savula joined President H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto on Saturday at the official launch of upgrade to bitumen standards and performance based routine maintenance of Malava-Kimang’eti-Ikoli Road at Malava trading centre in Malava Sub-County.

While applauding the National Government for improving the road infrastructure, Hon. Savula reiterated the need for mutual collaboration between the two levels of Government in uplifting the livelihoods of the residents.

President William Ruto called on the County Government to hasten the process of acquiring more land for expansion and upgrading of the Kakamega Airstrip to a fully fledged Airport, saying the move will market Kakamega as the new investment hub in Kenya.

The Head of State also pledged more support to the County in equipping health facilities and called for sobriety between the Government and the Opposition to ensure a united nation with a progressive economy.
