H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa honoured an invite from the St. Anne’s Musoli Girls fraternity this evening, where the learners expressed their gratitude to the County for the bursary program. The Program has kept many students at school, with over Ksh. 200,000 disbursed to the institution for the 2023/2024 financial year.

The County Government of Kakamega allocated Ksh. 240 million in bursaries last financial year to support bright and needy learners from vulnerable backgrounds.

The Governor reiterated his commitment to supporting education in Kakamega, including the construction and equipping of ECDE centers and county polytechnics. He encouraged the learners to work hard in their studies and advised those who do not qualify for university to enroll in County polytechnics, where they can benefit from various county initiatives.
