Mumias East Farmers Benefit from Governor Barasaβs Free Farm Inputs Program
This morning, Mumias East became the fifth sub-county to receive free fertiliser and maize seeds from Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa. The program targets widows, persons with disabilities, women, and low-income families, ensuring that even the most vulnerable farmers get the support they need to improve their farming and livelihoods.
Governor Barasa is committed to increasing maize production to boost food supply in Kakamega County. By providing the right farm inputs, Governor Barasa is helping farmers grow and harvest in abundance, earn better, and take good care of their families, among other socio-economic needs. This effort is part of his broader plan to enhance food security and uplift living standards across Kakamega County.
Present were MCAs led by the host, Francis Washika, and county executives led by CECM Mophat Mandela.
