This afternoon, H.E. FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa graced the thanksgiving ceremony of the newly appointed SRC Commissioner, Leonid Ashindu, at Manyala Primary School in Butere Sub-county.

Governor Barasa expressed full confidence in Commissioner Ashinduโ€™s ability to add value to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and wished him success as he embarks on his new tenure.

Addressing the residents, Governor Barasa assured them that the last-mile connectivity of the Firatsi Water Project is underway. He further confirmed that the completion of the Shiatsala Market project will resume soon after the re-tendering process.

Governor Barasa lauded H.E. President William Ruto and Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga for ensuring that sons and daughters of Kakamega County are well represented in national appointments, terming it a step towards inclusive governance.

The event was attended by Butere MP Hon. Tindi Mwale, SRC Chairperson Sammy Chepkwony, MCAs, County Executive Members led by CS Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka, representatives from various commissions, and other dignitaries.
