H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa later received a delegation from the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) in his office at the County Headquarters, where the team presented preparations for the 2025 Western Kenya (Kakamega) Branch Show, scheduled to take place from June 11th to 14th, 2025.
This yearโs show is expected to bring together a wide range of exhibitors from key sectors, including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Housing, SMEs, Banking, Hospitality, Education, as well as both public and private sector institutions. The theme for the 2025 show is โPromoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.โ
The ASK delegation was led by Chairperson, Dr. Purity Anyanje and CEO Batram Muthoka.
Governor Barasa expressed strong support for the initiative, emphasizing its importance in promoting innovation, economic development, climate resilience, and knowledge-sharing across the region.
Also present were County Secretary Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka, CECM for Agriculture Mr. Mophat Mandela, and other senior County Government officials.
