This morning, H.E. FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa worshipped at KAG Hope Sanctuary Church in the Lukoye area, Mumias Central Ward, Mumias West Sub-county, where he celebrated the strength, love, and resilience of mothers across Kakamega County, Kenya, and beyond.

“To every mother, thank you for the sacrifices you make for your children. You are the pillar and heart of our families, communities, and society. Happy Motherโ€™s Day!” โ€“ Governor Barasa.

While addressing the congregation, Governor Barasa assured residents that the infrastructure upgrades in Mjini, Shibale, and Lukoye areas under KISIP II are progressing well. He further applauded the successful implementation of the Nyakwaka and Nyapora water projects to the last mile under the Countyโ€™s clarion call โ€œAmatsi Khumuliangoโ€ โ€“ Water at the Doorstep.

The Governor was accompanied by Kakamega County Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. James Namatsi, Members of County Assembly including the host, Hon. Ali Okomba, and county executive staff led by CECM for Roads, Public Works, and Energy, Architect Patrick Kundu.
