H.E. Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa today joined the family, friends, and residents of Panyako Village in Matungu Sub-county to mourn the passing of the late Mzee Iddi Mwanga.
The Governor paid tribute to Mzee Mwanga, remembering him as a selfless leader who diligently served the people of Matungu Constituency during his tenure as the Constituency Manager. “May Allah grant him eternal peace and comfort his family during this difficult time,” the Governor said.
While addressing mourners, Governor Barasa emphasized his administrationโs commitment to deliver his promise by improving healthcare, access to water, food security, infrastructure development, education, and good governance across the county.
He noted that construction of a maternity wing at Matungu Level IV Hospital is currently underway, a major boost to maternal and child health services in the area.
Additionally, he announced that the upgrading of HarambeeโKhaunga Road to bitumen standards will resume this month.
The Governor also disclosed that the countywide distribution of subsidized top-dressing fertilizer will commence next week, prioritizing vulnerable members of society.
He was accompanied by Members of the County Assembly, led by the host MCA Hon. Osama Tingli, as well as officials from the County Executive.
