MUMIAS BUS PARK SAFETY ASSURED AS GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS VISIT SITE

The County Transport and Safety Steering Committee led by Arch. Patrick Kundu, the CECM for Roads, Public Works and Energy visited Mumias Bus Park to engage stakeholders in light of recurring accidents and near-miss incidents, particularly at the park’s exit.

The visit aimed to gather feedback from stakeholders and identify viable solutions to enhance the park’s safety and operational management.

Arch. Kundu emphasized that the county government is committed to improving the facility into a safer and more efficient transport hub, aligning with Governor Barasa’s broader goals for urban development and public safety.

The delegation also included representatives from the NTSA, National Police Service, NGAO, and other county officials, with Mumias Municipal Manager, CPA Chris Ombunya leading the local team.
