KAKAMEGA RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER WITH SHA
Officials of the County Government of Kakamega, today gathered in Malava Sub-County to bid farewell to the late Mzee Japheth Liru, father to Ms. Leah Khasandi, the Gender Advisor in the Office of the Governor.
The county executive staff, led by CECM for Health Services Dr. CPA Livingston Imbayi, accompanied by Chief Officer for Public Service Ms. Priscah Otipa, Economic Advisor Mr. Saidi Khasavuli, among other officials, called on residents to register with the Social Health Authority insurance program, emphasizing its importance and advantages including access of primary universal healthcare services by all.
Dr. Imbayi also called on expectant mothers to enrol with the County’s BarasaCare program, which provides stipend of upto KSh 12,000 per beneficiary to support maternal and child care from antenatal through postnatal stages of the pregnancy journey.
Madam Priscah Otipa delivered the official message of condolence by the Governor H.E. FCPA Fernandes Barasa to the bereaved family and mourners, describing the late Mzee Liru as a distinguished statesman whose values of hardwork and service to humanity continue to be carried on by his siblings.
Also present were MCAs led by Minority Leader Hon. David Ndakwa and the host Kevin Maelo.
Mzee Japheth Liru was laid to rest at his home in Mavusi area, Butali-Chegulo Ward. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
