COUNTY EMPLOYER VALIDATES 2016/20 STRATEGIC PLAN AS ICPAK MEMBERS CAPACITY BUILD
Kakamega County Public Service Board (KCPSB) yesterday held a forum to validate its strategic plan for the period of 2016-2020, at Golf Hotel in Kakamega Town. The objective of this event is to solicit input of stakeholders to enhance strategic plan for effective and efficient delivery of services to the residents.
In her keynote address to the forum, KCPSB Chairperson Rodah Masaviru revealed that the board needs approximately shillings 385 million in order to fully implement all the strategic objectives and activities in the plan. She further said that the board will initiate measures to ensure prudent utilization of resources through various undertakings inculcating automation of all programs, strengthening internal controls, enactment of service oriented laws among others, geared at making the county government more attractive to potential servants.
In other news, the County Government of Kakamega has sponsored twenty five certified accountants from all her ten ministries to attend the 32nd annual celebration of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) on-going at Sarova Whitesand Hotel in Mombasa. The event dabbed: Accountability as a Driver for Economic Growth and Development, aims at keeping the officers accountable by upholding professionalism during service delivery.
