H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, has called on all political leaders in Kakamega County to exercise restraint and uphold peaceful conduct. Speaking at a public rally in Emulunya, Kisa North Ward, Khwisero Sub-County, the Governor condemned acts of violence and intimidation in politics.
He specifically urged Khwisero MP Hon. Christopher Aseka to refrain from actions that could incite unrest, referencing a recent incident during the Presidentβs development tour in the area. Governor Barasa stressed that politics must be conducted responsibly, without endangering the safety of residents.
The Governor also appealed to security agencies to remain neutral and focus on maintaining peace. The rally followed a series of county engagements, including inspections of roads, water projects, and other development initiatives. He was joined by local leaders, including Hon. Dickson Aduda (Kisa East MCA), Hon. James Etabale (Kisa North MCA), and former Kisa East MCA Hon. Joel Ongoro, together with the Executive Officers led by CECM Finance and ICT, and Chief Officer for County Administration Dan Sumba.
