SHAMAKHUBU HOSPITAL: ANOTHER SUCCESS STORY UNDER GOVERNOR BARASA, FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF BUTERE COUNTY HOSPITAL.
Following the completion of Butere County Hospital, Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa has continued to prioritise the completion and operationalisation of key health infrastructure projects across Kakamega County.
Shamakhubu Hospital in Shinyalu Sub-County is among the facilities being advanced under Governor Barasaβs administration. The project, which was initiated in 2016, had remained incomplete, with approximately 40% of the works completed.
To facilitate its completion, Governor Barasa has committed KSh.80 million, with a further KSh.30 million projected for equipping the facility, bringing the total projected investment to KSh.110 million.
The investment will facilitate the completion, equipping and operationalisation of Shamakhubu Hospital, expanding access to healthcare services for residents of Shinyalu and neighbouring areas.
Once operational, the facility is expected to ease pressure on Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital by bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents.
The progress at Shamakhubu Hospital is another success story in Governor Barasaβs efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality and affordable healthcare services across Kakamega County.
