BUKHUNGU STADIUM PHASE ONE CONSTRUCTION ONGOING.

Today Kakamega County Governor H.E Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya inspected ongoing works at the Bukhungu Stadium.The first phase is set to be completed by December 2016. Once complete, the stadia will host a capacity of 30,000 people, with the main stand accommodating 4000 people. Governor Oparanya commended the contractor for the work done so far but challenged him to hasten up the construction as there is need for the stadium to be fully operational so as to serve the fast rising Kakamega County youths socioeconomic needs and residents as a whole. He was accompanied by Ag. Social Services, Youths & Sports CEC Mr. Robert Sumbi and his Public Works counterpart Dr. Collins Matemba, Youth and Sports Chief Officer Beldina Otieno, Public Works Chief Officer Eng. Joseph Sweta among others.
