AFYA YA MAMA NA MTOTO PROGRAM PRESENTED TO INTERNATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS

H. E. Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya is today attending an international conference on social protection at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Nairobi.

The conference which was officially opened by H. E. The Deputy President William Ruto seeks to increase investments in social protection programmes and will mostly benefit the vulnerable groups including the very poor and the elderly in the society.
Kakamega County’s health flagship project Afya ya Mama na Mtoto popularly referred to as ‘Oparanyacare’ is also on display. The programme has benefited mothers in the county to access safe delivery and full vaccination cycle with an aim of reducing mother-child mortality rates in Kakamega County.
