CHIEF OFFICER, LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES, OFFICIALLY ASSUMES OFFICE.
Following his recent appointment and swearing-in by Governor Fernandes Barasa, the chief officer for Livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Oscar Odunga, has officially been received into the Department of Agriculture by colleagues, led by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Mr. Mophat Mandela.
CECM Mophat Mandela welcomed Mr. Odunga to the department, pledging full support as he takes on his new role in strengthening the livestock and fisheries subsectors.
The ceremony also witnessed the official handover of office by the outgoing Acting chief officer for Livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Emmanuel Kariuki, to Mr. Odunga. The new chief officer is expected to steer the department in advancing key interventions aligned with Governor Fernandes Barasa’s food security pillar.
Also present during the handover exercise were chief officer for Cooperatives, Mr. Anselm Mulinya, directors from the Department of Agriculture, and various program heads.
